Moca 2024 - A True Back to the Roots

I have known Metro Olografix since I was a kid. I always wanted to join, but I saw participation in an association as a local activity and, living in a small town a bit far from Pescara, I always hesitated. How wrong I was!
Then I moved to Pescara, where I still live, and I met some of the association's historical members. That's how, after decades, I finally landed in Metro Olografix.

For some time now I have been supporting the need for a radical turn in our environment, one that takes us back a bit to the past; that makes us appreciate again the playful aspect of our work, rather than the merely economic one.

This drive led me to found hackamole, whose claim "Bring back the fun to fun and profit" encapsulates in a few words the aspect mentioned above. A reality that I and the other founders are still working on and that wants to address the widest possible audience of technology, design, writing enthusiasts and more.

However, I must say that I found this atmosphere of rediscovery as a pervasive element of moca during every minute of the event itself. I attended very interesting talks on the most varied topics (I also had the pleasure of presenting some). I finally put a face to the nicknames whose articles I passionately read in the e-zines of the time, which I even printed to read comfortably in bed before going to sleep.

In short, I touched firsthand a latent ferment ready to spring at the first favorable opportunity.

We are enthusiasts (and often workers) of a beautiful sector and, as we age, we are also responsible for spreading this passion and its history.

The moca was all this. A fantastic dive into the past but also a beautiful window to the future.
